Potato wedges with garlic

Ingredients for making garlic potato wedges

  1. 3-5 potatoes

Cooking potato wedges with garlic:

Step 1: Prepare the potatoes.

The potatoes are thoroughly washed under running water and if it is fresh, the peel can be left, and if not, then peeled. Then we shift it to a cutting board and cut it into beautiful slices with a sharp knife.

Now put the potatoes in a deep bowl, fill completely with water and leave for 10 minutes. Then we drain the water, and wipe the slices dry with napkins or paper kitchen towels.

Step 2: Bake the potatoes.

Preheat the oven to 230 degrees.
Cover the baking tray with foil, carefully lubricate with 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil, add a little salt, black pepper and lay the potato wedges in one layer. Then sprinkle them with the remaining vegetable oil and sprinkle with salt and black pepper to taste. Cover the potatoes with foil on top.

Now set the baking sheet in the oven and bake the potatoes 7 to 10 minutes.

Then remove the foil and bake the potatoes again 20 minutes until ready.

After 10 - 12 minutes of baking, potato wedges can be turned over to the other side.

Step 3: Cook the garlic dressing.

In the meantime, bake potatoes, prepare a garlic dressing. Put the butter in a small saucepan and put on the stove on a small fire.
Peel the garlic and squeeze it through a special garlic in a pan with oil. If there is no garlic, then we chop the cloves very finely with a knife on a cutting board.
Once the oil has melted, increase the temperature and bring it to a boil. Cook garlic about 5 - 7 minutes before the aroma.
We wash the greens under running water and finely chop on a cutting board.

Step 4: Mix the potato wedges with garlic.

Turn off the oven, remove the pan and evenly pour the potato wedges with garlic dressing.

Sprinkle with herbs. Then remove the baking tray with potatoes back to the oven for 2 to 3 minutes.

Step 5: Serve the potato wedges with garlic.

Potato wedges with garlic served hot for a side dish, appetizer or as an independent dish. They can be supplemented with any homemade sauces, for example, cheese or tomato. Enjoy a simple but very tasty dish!

Recipe Tips:

- You can use parsley, chives, thyme, and dill as greens.

- Together with black ground pepper, other aromatic spices, such as rosemary, can be added to the potato.
